The American Robin is a year round resident in the mid-Atlantic states. Their numbers appear to
have increased in recent years as more of its favorite habitat - lawns - is created. They are a
familiar sight pulling worms on lawns during the spring and summer. In the winter, Robins tend to
flock in more wooded areas. During the summer the female birds disperse to nest and raise their
young.
